Subject: FW: Scholarships for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans (UNCLASSIFIED)
For widest dissemination.
NOT MUCH TIME TO GET THE WORD OUT -- OCT 15 DEADLINE -- BUT LOOKS LIKE A GOOD DEAL FOR OUR OIF/OEF FOLKS.
I wanted to let you know about a great opportunity for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans who are going to be undergraduate students in 2008.
The Fund for Veterans Education announced it would award up to $1 million in undergraduate scholarships for veterans, including National Guard and Reservists returning from Iraq and Afghanistan for the Spring
2008 term or Fall 2008 term. The awards, which may be renewed for the following academic year, are intended to cover financial need not met by need-based grants and military education benefits. The application deadline is Monday, Oct. 15. For more information, visit:
http://www.veteransfund.org.
If you're in college or are about to begin college, please check out this scholarship opportunity!
Thanks
